Calvin Reid is a recent graduate of Carleton University in Statistics and Mathematics and is a consultant at BMG. His extensive background in data analysis includes conducting bi-lingual surveys for data collection in the museums of the National Capital Region. His independent work has ranged from game theory analysis of real life applications, forecasting methodologies, point estimation for maximizing efficiency, and Monte Carlo simulation work for multi-parameter outcomes. His commitment to accurate and reliable information with which to inform and educate is very strong. His analytical mind is an asset in areas from problem solving, to efficiency and more.
As a consultant, he has an innovative energy and heavy theoretical knowledge that he is excited to apply in practical capacities of analysis and reasoning. His exploration into big data revolutionized the preconceived limits he had for traditional data, and he has since expanded his knowledge of the capabilities of information analytics.
Area of knowledge:
Calvin’s relevant experience in the world of statistics goes from conceptualizing methodologies, outreach and engagement for data collection, and primary as well as in depth evidence-based analysis. His experience with programs such as SAS, SPSS, Python, R, Excel, MATLAB and Mini-Tab give him a wide variety of platforms with which to perform analysis. His previous research work in Game Theory and Probability Theory give him the ability to vet models with the highest consideration of the value and limitations of inputs and variables.
- Project Planning and Coordination
Calvin’s extensive background in planning and coordination of projects has demonstrated his effective management of time, resources, people and processes. His focus on communication ensures that he can be a strong leader as well as contribute collaboratively from development, to implementation and assessment. His stress and focus on quality is imperative in order to achieve the optimal results in any capacity.
