Human Spirit!

Blog

We are all different. There is no such thing as a standard or run-of-the-mill human being, but we share the same human spirit.

~ Stephen Hawking

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.

~ e. e. cummings

“The human spirit is a magnificent entity. Just when we think we can stand no more, something significant touches our soul… and life goes on.”

~ Peggy Toney Horton

“The world in which you were born is just one model of reality. Other cultures are not failed attempts at being YOU: they are unique manifestations of the human spirit.”

~ Wade Davis

My purpose today is to encourage all of us to acknowledge our human spirit.  To understand how our spirit encourages our life, how our spirit brings resilience and how our spirit lends wisdom to all that we do.

I think our human spirit put into our work, creates a space for action and outcome.  Our spirits leave a mark on that creation and our creations leave a mark on us.   It is a perfect partnership!

Once again I relate my evolving spirit to the lessons I found along the way.  My human experience granted me the confidence to believe in my own human spirit.  In the beginning I found it hard to share my spirit.  I was restrained by perceptions of how I should be or how I should act.  And rather than embrace my spirit I protected it and often missed out on the perfect partnership!

I’m not suggesting that balancing life was easy, but little by little I began to feel the essence of a spirit I could share and show to others. A spirit I could embrace. That embrace allowed me to bring a creative confidence to my work. When actions in your work are lead by the wisdom of your spirit, your actions make a difference.  Take time to know your own spirit so you can share it and create the opportunities for others to know theirs.
