Jane has over twenty years of success developing and executing communications strategies and community engagement plans to assist organizations in articulating and achieving their strategic goals.
Dynamic and experienced in a variety of effective ways to deliver well-researched, measureable plans, she works with hospitals, government agencies, healthcare organizations and community groups in Ontario and abroad. Jane has a track record of establishing communications and marketing programs that provide two-way dialogue for short- term projects and support for the goals of long-term initiatives. An early career in Parliament, managing the passage of business and public information led to strategic communications focus in both small business and fund raising.
More recently, Jane’s core skills in communications have been applied to the roll-out of major government initiatives such as hospital amalgamations and closings, the Aging at Home and Wait Times strategies and Primary Healthcare reform. Currently she is working in the Community Health Centre arena making the case for health equity and community-based care. In her work with Barnes, she is particularly interested in collaboration with expert colleagues to deliver projects that strengthen local communities by creating a culture of wellness and an environment in which all members can thrive.
