Lessons From A Storm

Blog

“There are some things you can only learn in a storm.”

            ~ Joel Osteen

“Wherever wind visits, there it freshens the air; wherever wisdom visit, there it freshens the mind.”

            ~ Mehmet Murat Iidan

“The wind is us, it gathers and remembers all our voices, then sends them talking and telling through the leaves and the fields.”

            ~ Truman Capote

“The wind of change, whatever it is, blows most freely through an open mind.”

            ~ Katherine Whitehorn

Sure has been quite the storm! It has surely brought strong winds of change. It seems to have lasted forever and has pushed us to dig deep inside. We can’t ignore the wind, nor the wisdom it carries, nor the change it brings. The forecast is uncertain. I remind all of us that change is inevitable and we have a responsibility to adjust, adapt and interpret the direction of the changes. This is a transformational storm with many opportunities when we can put aside fear and dread.

A storm is often out of our control, yet it is possible to find a calmer place where solutions are imaginable. When we make creativity a priority we are able to share, engage and grow to capacity despite what the storm has left behind. As the storm continues so too should our resolve of a purposeful transformation! We will be alright. We will move forward with careful reflection of the storms lessons and its challenges. Facing the changes builds resilience and perseverance. Trust your instincts and know you will learn the storm lessons and come through the changes.
