“We can always choose to perceive things differently. We can focus on what’s wrong in our life, or we can focus on what’s right.”

            ~ Marianne Williamson

“We see with our eyes. We know with our hearts.”

            ~ Jim Henson

“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.”

            ~ Kahlil Gibran

“Don’t be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.”

            ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s not easy to gain perspective when the landscape changes on a daily basis. However, when we make the time to develop a positive attitude the changing landscape can have a different reflection and changed perspective. Developing a personal perspective means gathering knowledge, taking the time to understand things, taking the time to recognize why certain things happen and appreciating your own response to the happenings!

Your personal perspective is your point of view! Perspective is everything that governs your outlook on life, determines your attitude and enables you to choose how you respond to what is happening around you. Perspective mirrors your values.

While it is important to have your own perspective and point of view it is equally important to be patient with others, embrace other points of view and see the other side of the story. All this helps us to see and know ourselves!

“Shut your eyes and see.”

            ~ James Joyce
