That Rainy day Feeling!

“When life throws you rainy days, play in the puddles.”

~ Piglet, A.A. Milne

“Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.”

~ Roger Miller

“If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm.”

~ Frank Lane

“When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome.”

~ Wilma Rudolph

Rainy days!  Have you got that Rainy Day Feeling? I think we can all conjure up a nostalgic place when it comes to the rain. In my work life, I always held the symbolism of a rainy day as a symbol of change and that the rain always came before the sunshine.

The rain makes me more thoughtful! The rain gives me time to slow down and better consider the moments around me.  The rain holds the power of inspiration!  And the sun holds the power to see it all so clearly!

I suggest that it is possible to find the pleasant surprises in the rain. The rain reminds us we are not in control. On any given day the lack of control is a chance to look for an opportunity! A timely opportunity to not be afraid to make a mistake and not be afraid to trust your instinct. You can embrace that out of rainy days will come strategic decisions with the most positive outcomes.

So Play in the Puddles. Walk in the Rain!  Weather the Storms! Always know the sun will come out!
