Self-awareness is definitely part of self-control and self-control is critical to Leadership Control! A leader with self-control has a high level leadership commitment with the ability to take control of their own thoughts, feelings and emotions and then the ability to take control of an agency with positive objectives and winning outcomes.
Self-control, self-discipline, self-restraint and a steady composure will serve you well in all leadership situations. A leader’s character, attitude and actions must speak a language of inclusion and fairness for success. Self-control has a positive impact on physical and mental health. A thoughtful leader with fine-tuned self-control will set clear goals and expectations. And when it all comes together no one will doubt that an ‘in control leader’ does indeed care!
