“Time is free, but its priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”
~ Harvey Mackay
“Time moves slowly but passes quickly.”
~ Alice Walker
“Life isn’t a matter of milestones, but of moments.”
~ Rose Kennedy
“Time is a brisk wind, for each hour it brings something new.”
~ Paracelsus
Am I the only one that feels time flies? Where do the days go? What did I do yesterday? What needs to get tomorrow? Is doing nothing a legitimate thing? When such questions run through my mind I have a frightening feeling that time is fleeting and I am either wasting too much of it or I just don’t have enough!
Be mindful of time, in little ways and in big ways. Plan adventures, big and small, try something new, mindfully embrace old traditions, notice your well-honed habits and rituals but don’t get stuck in them! Make time to do for others but do it for yourself first. A kindness for others for the love of doing, first and foremost, and the time it takes and the joy it brings. The passing of time is inevitable! Aging and slowing down is inevitable. Which only makes time seem to speed up! We do well to remember that the inevitable is also filled with possibilities, new learnings, endless chances to make fresh starts, new friends, new interests, new truths, new awareness, new joys and time!
“You have got to own your days and live them, each one of them, every one of them, or else the years go by and none of them belong to you.”
~ Herb Gardner
