“The pain of yesterday is the strength of today.”

Feeling hurt is part of life!  This is a tough subject, and one we all experience in different ways for different reasons.  And often difficult to talk about and to resolve.  I only mean to give voice to some of my own journey and provide a safe place to listen and perhaps have different thoughts about your own hurt!  We hurt for different reasons, lose, rejection, embarrassment, disrespect, abandonment, disappointment: to mention a few!

Resolving hurt often means letting go of the past, the present, the people, the circumstances and accepting what is out of our control.  Letting go can be the start of healing, finding joy again, living the life you deserve, and learning new teachings.  Claim your power, make decisions that make the source of your hurt not matter.  I don’t suggest it is easy.  No path is without a curve.  But only you can choose where to put your heart, mind, and soul while you make your own life decisions.  Practice self-care, gratitude, self-compassion, mindfulness, self-respect, and set new goals, and find new projects, embrace new bonds and friendships, find a mentor, be a mentor, volunteer, seek role models, find your words, define your own path.  Most importantly, reach out for help and support as you discover your journey!

“Pain can change you, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a bad change.  Take that pain and turn it into wisdom.”

            ~ Dalai Lama
