A Not So Guilty Pleasure

“Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others.”

            ~ Wilfred Peterson

“In today’s rush, we all think too much, seek too much, want too much, and forget about the joy of just being.”

            ~ Eckhart Tolle

“Rest when you’re weary.   Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work.”

            ~ Ralph Marston

“Self-care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you.”

            ~ Katie Reed

Self-care requires a thoughtful practice.  Which is worth finding to protect and improve your physical and mental health.  A thoughtful practice requires time well spent to build a balanced lifestyle of food, sleep, exercise, social connection, financial stability and so much more.  When rough times hit it’s even more important to be intentional and put yourself on the top of the self-care list.

A self-care practice is not easy!  Not easy when so many others depend on us.  However, I suggest that you can’t share yourself if you don’t care for yourself.  In the chaos and commotion, we often experience, self-care is an essential and vital practice for overall well-being.  A self-care practice can reset your mindset and help you to find new perspectives and gain motivation to be a healthier version of self.  Indulge in a not so guilty pleasure and practice self-care.
