“The world is but a canvas to our imagination.”
~ Henry David Thoreau
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
~ Maya Angelou
“When you create something, you leave a part of yourself in it.”

I keep thinking how weirdly wonderful some of the recent days have been. Yet despite the sun and warmth I felt myself falling short of erasing the dull, dark, and less than inspiring days, of the past few months.
I had to get a grip and find my joy. I needed to forget the stressors of the day after day bleakness! I needed the magic of my own imagination. Arts, crafts and homemade! Wonderful ways to improve mental health, express creativity, experiment with something new, and embrace self-expression.
I pulled out long lost favourites and searched out new possibilities and added them to my days! I found pleasure and enjoyment in the process and the outcomes. I celebrated my teachers, my grandmothers, my aunties, and my mother, and then acknowledged my determination to comfort my less than inspired soul.
Life gets busy, things drag us down and we are constantly presented with challenges. The canvas of imagination is a positive expression of self! And now the bleakness has eased, and I can see spring!
