“Sometimes, you have to look back in order to understand the things that lie ahead.”

“The way we experience the world around us is a direct reflection of the world within us.”
~ Gabrielle Bernstein
“Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.”
~ Margaret J. Wheatley
“Light tomorrow with today.”
~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning
A new year! And in these early moments a chance to reflect on the year that was and the year yet to be. Self-reflection is critical to leadership. The benefits of a reflection practice include leadership skill development and growth of emotional and social intelligence.
To be an authentic leader it is important to know your values, strengths, weaknesses and the ways that your leadership influences those around you. To understand ourselves, as a leader, it is essential to be self-aware. A constant and consistent reflection practice is a process of continuous learning that informs our capacity and our driving qualities.
I encourage all of us to take this time of reflection and let a new awareness light the way for tomorrow. If your leadership reflection inspires new projects and BMG can be an appropriate partner, please let us know.
