“Spirituality is not adopting more beliefs and assumptions but uncovering the best in you.”
~ Amit Ray
You’re a spiritual being having a human experience.
~ Wayne Dyer
You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.
~ Swami Vivekananda
Be humble for you are made of earth, be noble for you are made of stars
~ Serbian Proverb
Yes, lucky me, I am still sitting on the shore of the Rideau Lake. It is cold today and I fear there is a hint of fall in the air. However, I am most grateful for my ability to hear the change, smell the change and embrace what comes next.
I am humbled as I sit in this spiritual place! And I am grateful for the human experience this place has provided. There is no doubt that I intentionally planned to have a spiritual experience as I quietly spent many a day at the side of the lake. My plan had purpose but perhaps I almost missed the point. That point being, ‘there was no need for me to search for a place or a spiritual experience.” I only needed to look into myself and be proud of the soul I am and the lessens my soul has provided and allowed me to learn from. It didn’t matter that I sat at the lake.
I’ve had a few years of personal challenge! A few storms along the way! More than most, some would say! But we all have storms in our life. Much like the lake sometimes a storm can be quiet and warm and sometimes fierce and relentless. We all need to ride with the storms and accept the gift or gifts that are present. I have chosen to see the gifts in the storms. And I choose to see the gifts in others. Truly a spiritual experience! Might I suggest that we all need to let our souls guide our human experience.
