“October is a symphony of permanence and change.”
~ Bonoro W. Overstreet
“My favorite color is October.”
~ Unknown
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
“Bittersweet October, the mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.”
~ Carol Bishop Hipps
As the colours fade and I wrap a scarf around my neck I think “Where did the time go?” As the seasons of Spring, Summer and now Fall quietly pass we surely wonder were the days have gone?
October has ushered in its usual change! October days bring us vivid blue skies, autumn splendor, angry rains, gusty winds and gardens end while laying down the path to winter days! Living in these days of October has brought new challenges. It’s been difficult to see the positives and face the challenges with grace. We can’t ignore the October days, nor the warnings they carry, nor the changes that lie ahead! Time will march on, for all of us! October gifts enable us to be in awe of Spring, Summer and Fall. All of which have endured despite a new world existence. And yet, keenly aware that as we wander to the past or drift to the unknown the present moment is all we have.
Embrace the good and bad, be gentle, see the positive and encourage others to see the gifts of October.
