“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
~ Henry David Thoreau
“The only thing you sometimes have control over is perspective. You don’t have control over your situation. But you have a choice about how you view it.”
~ Chris Pine
“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
“It is the climbing of the mountain that makes the view from the top so breathtaking.”
~ Richard C. Miller
It is not an Ontario Lake this time lending inspiration. It is the mountains! I’m sitting on the southwest edge of Calgary, Alberta and the mountain view is beyond words. I’m captured by ‘the view.” Yesterday I was standing in the middle of a corn maze, smelling the corn, feeling the prairie earth beneath my feet, eyes lifted to the peaks of the mountains and my ears tuned to the sound of family giggles and I was captured in every moment.
“The View” can capture us in any moment. As we embrace change and open our willingness to change, the ever changing views become critical moments to pay attention. Paying attention to the moments allows a point of view with a frame of mind to allow space for a new way of looking! The view allows us to appreciate the true value of an organization. Exposing the true value of an organization can offer the courage to release the familiar and embrace a new view.
