“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
~Buddha
“What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.”
~ Henry David Thoreau
“The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.”
~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
A leader feels uncertainty every time the internal and external environment shifts. A confident leader has their head, heart and gut in the job when uncertainty shakes the organization. Prioritizing for both the present and the future is critical. It is understandably easy to be consumed by immediate issues, however it is essential, for a leader, to be open to the uncertainties and the possible issues that will impact the operation of the organization.
Leadership means challenging the status quo and navigating a necessary change! The future lies in truly understanding the uncertainties. A confident, not arrogant, leader will accept that their present-day view of the future needs to shift to steady the uncertainties. It is imperative for leadership to adapt to the uncertainties and lead a change process.
At BMG we are well aware that uncertainty is constant! We also know that a process to extensively discuss and address current uncertainties is your path to success. BMG hopes to be part of your success.
