~ Frank Sonnenberg
“Take not a minute for granted, because that minute can never be replaced.”

“Things you may take for granted, other people are praying for.”

“In a very tragic kind of way, sometimes things have to be gone before I fully realize that they were ever there.”
~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
I’m at home today, as if I would be anywhere else, with no heat! Furnace gave up on Monday! Apparently parts are slow to arrive because of Covid. I’ll get heat on Thursday. Hopefully! It certainly gives one pause to think of all the things we take for granted. All too often we might have a sense of security and permanence when in reality it is neither.
I suggest today that you take a good look around and notice what you take for granted. Take the time to appreciate and realize how much something or someone means to you. In a blink of an eye, everything can change! When we take things for granted often we miss the moments that mean the most.
This past year has certainly taught all of us, things change, the outcomes are the realities we acknowledge and there are many things we can’t take for granted. To take things for granted is a risk no one should take.
