What’s in the Weather!

Blog

“A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves.”

            ~ Marcel Proust

“There is no such thing as good weather, or bad weather. There’s just weather and your attitude towards it.”

            ~ Louise Hay

“To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake it is necessary to stand out in the cold.”

            ~ Aristotle

“Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart.”

            ~ Victor Hugo

If you have read my writings, you’ll have perhaps come to the conclusion that I have a close relationship with the weather, in particular rainy or snowy days!  I believe it is possible to find pleasant surprises in even the worst of weather.  The weather reminds us that we are not always in control.  Many weather days provide more thoughtful moments, if we look for them!  The rain encourages a slower pace, the snow inspires reflection, the sun gifts the power to see things clearly and the wind whispers deep in the soul.

The lack of control, given the weather, is often a chance to look for an opportunity!  A timely opportunity to not be afraid to make a mistake and not be afraid to trust your instinct.  When you embrace the weather you can have days of thoughtful decisions that have the most positive outcomes.

“When life throws you rainy days, play in the puddles.”

            ~ Piglet, A.A. Milne
