“November at its best – with a sort of delightful menace in the air.”
~ Anne Bosworth Greene
“Welcome sweet November, the season of senses and my favorite month of all.”
~ Gregory F. Lenz
“November is usually such a disagreeable month as if the year had suddenly found out that she was growing old and could do nothing but weep and fret over it.”
~ L. M. Montgomery
“Fear not November’s challenge bold. We’ve books and friends, and hearths that never can grow cold. These make amends.”
~ Alexander L. Fraser
As I draw on my lived experience, I know November can be an neither here nor there month! It can dish out almost anything! It seems to be elusive yet ever present! I know that November is the month to cozy up, to pull out those favourite sweaters, to layer up, to not put away those shorts, to keep wearing those sneakers with no socks, to find that misplaced umbrella and to pull out the winter coat! November is not always something we can prepare for, but it is always necessary to be ready for anything, learn to be flexible at a moment’s notice and adapt with positivity and joy.
November, while often disagreeable at best, confirms that time is dashing by, that life goes on, and the road ahead is not endless. November gives us glimpses of warm bright sunny days past and the snowy days that will surely come. November teaches transformation with the passing of time and the inevitability of change. Everyone feels November! November calls on a mindful presence to experience and enjoy all that is offered in the days ahead.
