“Make every day special. Own it. Enjoy it. Bask in the glory of life. Appreciate the gift of your own life.”
~ Donna Fargo
“Don’t save things for a special occasion – every day of your life is a special occasion.”

“To make something special, you need to believe it is special.”
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”

What makes a day special? The answers lie in our own experiences and perceptions. Special means the moments that touch our heart, the moments that leave footprints in our mind, the moments that connect us to people, the moments that teach us, and the moments that matter! Special is different for everyone. There are unlimited reasons that a day is special, grand, or simple, in the moments that matter most to you.
Caring about your own well-being and noticing special days means planning the day to include time to notice. Time to connect, to be kind, to feel gratitude, to be curious, to imagine, to dream with purpose, to grab an opportunity, to find friends who bring out your best, to embrace the lighter moments, to embrace moments of rest, to find joy, and to take the time to make the moments count.
A cousin recently shared with me “yesterday was special, I was looking out my living room window, in the afternoon, when a tree fell (a 100 year plus maple). I felt sad! But then, that night, I got to see a moon eclipse through my bedroom window.” A special day indeed.
