I am a Master of Social Work for Working Professionals student at the University of Windsor with a strong interest in macro practice, research, and social policy. As an immigrant, I bring a personal understanding of the systemic challenges faced by newcomers, which fuels my commitment to equity, inclusion, and community development.
My experience in client support, service coordination, and community-based programming has allowed me to navigate complex systems, build strong relationships, and advocate for individuals in ways that promote dignity and empowerment.
These experiences have deepened my interest in macro social work, particularly in how policy, planning, and organizational development can lead to more just and responsive systems. I believe in the power of collaboration, and I’m driven to contribute to initiatives that amplify underrepresented voices and create lasting change.
For my MSW placement with Barnes Management Group, I’m excited to contribute to initiatives that align with BMG’s mission of building stronger, more inclusive communities. I look forward to applying my skills and lived experience to help support meaningful impact through research, evaluation, and community-focused planning.
