“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm is all about.”
~ Haruki Murakami
As the world wakes from the storm, a thoughtful leader will acknowledge the symbolism of a storm that represents emotions and thoughts. A storm can brew and spew and send messages of conflict and perhaps misunderstanding. A storm stirs things up. A kind leader will encourage all people, willing to wait out the storm, to participate in the clean up and most certainly share the calm after the storm.
In a leadership role it is quite often as simple as making a decision and taking control that will have a crucial impact on the outcomes ahead. A reflective, thoughtful leader will encourage all people to restore, rebuild and return to the positive purpose of important work. A mindful leader will help all to see and experience the positives after the storm.
“Every storm runs out of rain, just like every dark night turns to day.”
~ Gary Allan
