“What day is it?” “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh.”
~ Pooh and Piglet, (The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)
“Learn from yesterday. Live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.”
~ Snoopy (Peanuts)
“Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.”
~ Merida (Brave)
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift … that’s why they call it the present.”
~ Master Oogway, (Kung Fu Panda)
PLEASE NOTE … what I did for today was scan the archives, because I was less than inspired, and that is okay! Nonetheless, I found inspiration in my own words, found joy from the past, and found the chance to share this with you once again. This might be my favorite musing. Enjoy!
After the exceptional fall days, we have enjoyed, today feels heavy and less than inspiring. I remind myself, despite my lack of inspiration, that what I do with today is what counts. At the very least I can feel and explore the weather change around me and appreciate all that I am and all I can accomplish despite the darker side of today! On any day, small, positive, thoughtful efforts mean that progress adds up. Even on the shakiest of days we can stumble across our strengths. We all have ‘not so good days’ but if we dig deep with curiosity and gratitude, we can find something good in every day. Maybe you can’t put every day into words, or even lift the darkness but I suggest that every day will teach us what we need to know if we let it.
“In every job that must be done there is an element of fun.”
~ Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins)
