“Sometimes a short walk down memory lane is all it takes to appreciate where you are today.”
~ Susan Gale
“Some days I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice.”
~ Unknown
“Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us.”
~ Oscar Wilde
“A strange thing is memory, and hope: one looks backward, and the other forward: one is of today, the other of tomorrow. Memory is history recorded in our brain, memory is a painter, it paints pictures of the past and of the day.”
~ Anna Mary Robertson Moses
October is brimming with nostalgia prompting many walks down memory lane! I believe that we walk countless memory lanes, enabling our memory to embrace all that we have known. The walks are repeatedly tugged from what we taste, smell, see, hear and feel. The memory lanes we walk are necessary to remember the past! Our past is important to acknowledging self and all that we have become from our successes and our challenges! Memory lanes accommodate all that has made us who we are. There is a need to revisits the paths from time to time and to not forget! Life is the total of every lane we walk. Our identity relies on all that we remember, the good, the bad, the lessons learned, the lessons missed, the loses and all that is found!
