“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”
~ Jimmy Dean
“The wind of change, whatever it is, blows most freely through an open mind.”
~ Katherine Whitehorn
“The wind is us, it gathers and remembers all our voices, then sends them talking and telling through the leaves and the fields.”
~ Truman Capote
“Wherever wind visits, there it freshens the air; wherever wisdom visits, there it freshens the mind!”
~ Mehmet Murat Iidan
As I recently said, political, economic, social and technological factors impact on the uncertainty of our current times! As leaders we must take notice of it all! We can’t ignore the wind, nor the wisdom it carries, nor the change that it can forecast!
Leadership has the responsibility of accountability, whatever a change in the wind might bring. I remind us all that change is inevitable and it is a leadership responsibility to adjust, adapt and to account for the direction of change. That accountability can come in the form of evaluation!
As the wind changes so do the purposeful practices of evaluation. If you need to consider your current evaluation practice in the context of change then you might want to check out BMG and the expertise we can provide to support this essential element of your work.
