Communications, Child Welfare, Experience in Not for Profit and Corporate Sectors
Fernando Saldanha
Fernando is an experienced and versatile consultant, with more than 25 years in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. He has developed and delivered communications, marketing, business development, public and media relations and charitable fund development programs aimed at increasing awareness, public education and funds.
Recent consulting projects include a comprehensive review of the Volunteer Services Program at Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and a an extensive Feasibility Review of the High Risk Infant Nurse Program at Durham Children’s Aid Society.
In his previous roles as Interim Executive Director of the Hope for Children Foundation and as Manager of Fund Development for Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, Fernando worked collaboratively with Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada on initiatives targeted at youth transitioning out of care.
Fernando has worked with several child and family serving agencies in the Greater Toronto Area with a fondness for working with youth in helping them to develop their advocacy skills. He is currently Mentor to three young adults from the child welfare system.
Happily retired, Fernando loves photography and to travel with his partner, with a particular love for the Azores and Hong Kong.
