“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”
~ John C Maxwell
“With great power comes great responsibility.”

“Practice self-awareness, self-evaluation, and self-improvement. If we are aware that our manners – language, behavior, and actions – are measured against our values and principles, we are able to more easily embody the philosophy, leadership is a matter of how to be, not how to do.”
~ Frances Hesselbein
“You don’t need a title to be a leader. You lead by example.”
~ Jamie Woodburn
In this next month, I will explore the qualities of good leadership. I speak from a journey of leadership development over a 20-year career. I hope to share my current wisdom for your reflection and action in today’s complex world.
First and foremost, I believe, that personal attributes contribute greatly to leadership development and speak clearly to your ability and capacity to lead. As I have said, time and time again, ‘it is not what you do but how you do it!’ Your personal qualities are the building blocks to your leadership success. I encourage you to reflect on your sincerity, commitment, passion, empathy, and honesty. I believe personal qualities are the difference between people standing behind you and people standing with you! Set a good example for people to emulate. A good leader will explore and build a strong foundation and feel the strength of that foundation in every leadership moment they face.
BMG has leadership development expertise and is prepared to be part of your leadership development. Check us out!
