“Awareness is a key ingredient in success. If you have it, teach it, if you lack it, seek it.”
~ Michael Kitson
“Our awareness is the key. It is our awareness more than our work effort that gets the right results right now.”
~ Mark Victor Hansen
“Awareness requires living in the here and now, and not in the elsewhere, the past or the future.”
~ Eric Beme
Did you see and experience the icing sugar effect this past Monday? Self awareness can go beyond the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself. Self awareness allows a leader to play to their strengths and beyond the ability to monitor emotions and thoughts. I would suggest that a good leader will let self awareness inspire the ability to find joy in the outcomes of all situations.
Here in the GTA, if you missed the icing sugar effect, it means you missed the joy in a snow storm. If you miss the simple and positive outcomes that happen everyday you are missing important moments! And those around you know you are missing those moments! Hone your self awareness to work and play better with others. Stay focused, embrace your intuition, keep an open mind and above all else find Joy and share it!
