“People only see what they are prepared to see. If you look for what is good and what you can be grateful for you will find it everywhere.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“If you’re lost, you can look and you will find me.”
~ Cyndi Lauper
“Sometimes when you lose your way, you find yourself.”
~ Mandy Hale
“Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.”
~ Charles Xavier
Be gentle with yourself! I’m sure you are doing the best you can. The reality of today is not necessarily the future nor the destination. Coming to terms with self, in this new reality, is necessary. Redefining self-worth in a changing environment is a great place to start!
Everyone feels a bit lost at times and certainly in covid times. Chances are we are all looking for ourselves. Add the last couple of years and the numerous interruptions to a stable path and even the most determined and resilient person would be a bit lost. These current months are short on sunshine, warmth and familiar comforts and loss of self creates even harder days to get through. I find myself looking for myself in all that has happened and continues to happen. Only to realize that I am right here if I only took the time to look. It’s a constant necessity to remember that the transformation around us is tough to navigate if you don’t hang on to the essence of self.
I suggest it is important to accept that ‘a return to normal’ is unlikely to exist but a new normal can be created and the path forward will be easier to find. Feeling lost is an evolution of spirt and mind.
