“I try to avoid looking forward or backward, and try to keep looking upward.”
~ Charlotte Bronte
“I’m really looking forward to, not more of the same, but a continual growth.”
~ Ben Harper
“It’s not the decisions you make when everything is rosy that usually shapes your future.”
~ Akanbi Adedamola
“The future depends on what you do today.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi
I’m not letting go of the symbolism of Spring just yet. It is the present moment, here and now! All of us can take advantage of the inspiration of the season. Looking forward through the lens of Spring can inspire all of us to shape the future with wisdom and hope.
Looking forward is a positive way to take the best of the past, live in the present and be part of the future. I’ve always believed that working towards a new path includes the ability to welcome change, honour those who contributed to the present and welcome an inclusive engagement to shape the future. A new path that builds trust and ownership!
It is not what you do it is how you do it. And done right means there are no limits to what you can achieve. In a position of leadership, I had the obligation to encourage curiosity that would allow everyone to not be afraid to explore! Looking forward through the lens of spring has no limits.
