“Organizing is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up.”

~ A. A. Milne

This may seem an odd thought to pursue!  I have completed an enormous amount of sorting in the past months!  Sorting of all sorts!  So much so that I might have benefitted from the wisdom of a sorting hat as I relied on a disaster to push me into action, end my procrastination and compel me to dig deep into memories, painful or pleasant!  I uncovered all trappings of life – and many useless bits of useless information and things.

Over the pandemic months it was a slow and steady process!  I felt the need to have something to account for the months of lockdown!  I am in the privileged stage of my life, retirement, and staying active and productive has always been a purposeful accomplishment.  So why not FINALLY sort a locker of boxes?  It was an incredible journey!  So many memories, so many papers, so many surprises, so many hours of thoughtful sorting!  Recycle, compost, give away, tuck away and throw away!  An accomplishment, indeed!
