The Gems of Spring!

Blog

“It is spring again.  The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”

            ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

“Blossom by blossom the spring begins.”

            ~ Algernon Charles Swinburne

“What a strange thing!  To be alive, beneath cherry blossoms.”

            ~ Kobayashi Issa

“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest.”

            ~ Ernest Hemmingway

FINALLY!  I hear it, I see it, I smell it and I am touched by it!   The preamble to these glorious spring days seemed long, dreary, dull, and cold.  However, isn’t it grand and well worth the wait?  I encourage everyone to “pause” and soak in the gems of spring.  They will come and go if you are not paying attention and you’ll miss the opportunities to improve your mood, throw open your windows and spend more time outside.

So, organize a ‘pause’ and take advantage of warmer and longer days.  Be amazed by the rejuvenating flora and fauna!  Take your exercise outside.  Spring creativity could start with a garden (containers work).  Cleaning and organizing can be part of springing forward.  Watch the leaves exploding in the spring sun.  Lift your gaze, look around, bursting color is everywhere!  Be present, notice, and appreciate the resilience of spring!
