A Day of Rest!

I’m reminding you to PRACTICE A PAUSE!  Happiness is a day off, a rest day, or perhaps a do-nothing day.  Everyone needs a break from time to time and taking a day off can reset many aspects of life.  It’s important to not only find the pause button but to define what pause means or looks like for you.  Rest embraces your whole being and a day of rest sets aside a normal routine and embraces a purposeful restoration of mind, body, and soul.

Making a conscious decision to take a rest day enriches life and offers time for self-reflection.  A rest day is a deliberate act of honouring self.  Facing challenges and acknowledging joy always requires dedicated time to simply notice what is happening, why it is happening, and how it affects us.  A rest, a pause, a day off, can be as simple as self-care and a purposeful act to recharge, refuel and refresh.  Such mindful purpose can uncover clarity, self-compassion, self-awareness, positive energy, healing, confident change, and the strength to face another day!
