“The way to get started is to take the first step with dream-powered optimism.”

“They blew out a breath and did the thing all heroes must do—they took that terrifying first step.”
~ Chloe Neill
“Most times, the way isn’t clear, but you want to start anyway. It is in starting with the first step that other steps become clearer.”
~ Israelmore Ayivor
In the past few months I have experienced the first steps of my grand niece. Truly an experience of joy and wonderment! In the quiet moments after such wonderment I have been drawn back to ALL first steps in my leadership journey. I readily accepted leadership responsibility but I often felt more faith from those around me than the faith I had in myself. But I did have intuition, a well honed work ethic, passion and belief! The first steps were tentative but with each success came more confidence.
Leadership was a process for me. It was more than a position and I was able to let the process bring an honest awareness of self. Success came with my abilities to build relationships and engage others. I leaned on my own values, knowledge and intentions.
I encourage you to look back and understand your own leadership journey. When things feel uncertain, unpredictable, complex or unclear rely on your values, knowledge and intentions to take the first tentative steps. Trust your intuition and give others around you a chance to trust your process of leadership.
Perhaps a partnership with BMG is the first step to clarity and success. A partnership with BMG could be the first step to a great journey.
