It’s a Beautiful Day!

Blog

“A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When you wake up, take a second to think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing, I assure you that it will start to feel like one. Time spent living is time worth appreciating.”

“Start each day with a grateful heart.”

“It’s a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.”

            ~ Germany Kent

“The way to develop the best that is in a person is by appreciation and encouragement.”

            ~ Charles Schwab

Gratitude was fleeting, in my work life, I often missed the goodness of everyday without a genuine gratitude for all things around me.   Often in my work life I was most grateful for the things that did not happen!  Now I choose to be grateful.   Now my gratitude helps me to see what is there instead of what isn’t.  Now my gratitude helps me to see the beauty in every day!

As a leader, we have opportunities to bring gratitude to the workplace and make it a kinder environment.   As a leader, you can model appreciation and practice gratitude.  Gratitude practice can strengthen relationships, motivate others and boost the feelings of workplace satisfaction.  We never reach our workplace success without others.  As a leader, we can use gratitude and teach gratitude to affirm the good work of others and acknowledge that others have many gifts that contribute to the success of an organization.

A leader who genuinely practices a gratitude approach will nurture authentic gratitude in their workplace and create opportunities for everyone to understand the power of gratitude.  An organization grounded in gratitude will encourage individual as well as systemic expression.   If you need a partnership to work out the power of gratitude, BMG is poised to be your partner in that process.
