This February, Barnes Management Group proudly celebrates Black History Month 2026, a time to honour and learn from the remarkable contributions of Black communities throughout Canada.
This year’s national theme, “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries,” celebrates three decades of recognizing the leadership, creativity, and resilience of Black Canadians. It invites us to reflect on the legacy of those who helped shape our history and to celebrate the innovators who continue to inspire our future.
Black Canadians have enriched this country in many ways, not only through community leadership but also through cultural expression, education, and unwavering commitment to justice and equality. Their stories remind us that progress takes courage, vision, and collective effort.
At BMG, we know that meaningful progress begins with inclusion. We strive to create spaces where people feel seen, respected, and supported to succeed. We believe that when diverse voices are welcomed and heard, our workplace and our communities are stronger.
As we honour the achievements of Black individuals and communities this month, we are also reminded of the resilience it takes to overcome obstacles and build lasting change. These stories encourage us to keep listening, learning, and working together.
