Resilience

Blog

“Persistence and resilience only come from having been given the chance to work through difficult problems.”

            ~ Gever Tulley

“Do not judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”

            ~ Nelson Mandela

“All things are difficult before they are easy.”

            ~ Thomas Fuller

“Your resilience is your humanity … To yield and not break, this is incredible strength.”

            ~ Hannah Gadsby

It seems easy to consider resilience in the analogy of spring.  When spring is confronted with cold, snow, rain, and lack of sun, she navigates through those challenges and bounces back with a burst of color and a focus on the magic of spring.  When we are confronted with life challenges it isn’t always easy to muster up and find our resilience to bounce back and keep our spirit in a positive place while we ride out the storm.

Resilience is the human ability to adapt, the ability to have hope and the courage and determination to face a challenge.  The ability to walk a necessary path and emerge stronger, wiser, and in control of the outcome.  Resilience is our own courage, our own experiences which allow us to determine our path.  Resilience builds self-confidence and the belief in your own ability to face tough times!  Resilience is about finding trustworthy and compassionate people who believe in you and your courage.  Resilience is about building self-esteem, confidence, and the skills to see the positive things in life.
