“Kindness Is Like Coffee.  It awakens your spirit and improves your day.  Fill your cup with both.”

“The only way to have a friend is to be one.”

I met a friend for a coffee this morning!  Unbeknownst to her, it was a coffee visit that broke a four-day silence, that ended a loose-end weekend, and it was a visit that provided quality, restorative moments!  As comfortable as we might be with the company of ourselves, it is most fitting to reach out when we feel an empty space.  Time spent with a friend (with or without coffee) enhances our happiness.  Spending time with friends can be one of our greatest pleasures.  Any visit with a friend or friends adds substantially to our joy.

A visit with a friend can ease a busy day, recharge our creativity, reduce stress, enhance our overall well-being, and help us feel better about ourselves and our lives.  And make no mistake, the emotional and mental effects of a visit with a friend works both ways.   It is far from a one-sided event.

“No friendship is an accident.”
