Perspective!

“Most misunderstandings in the world could be avoided if people would simply take the time to ask, “What else could this mean?”

― Shannon L. Alder

“It is a narrow mind which cannot look at a subject from various points of view.”

― George Eliot

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses.”

― Alphonse Kar

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”

― Frances Hodgson Burnett

Perspective is your attitude or your particular way of thinking, seeing or hearing!  We all have perspective.   And sometimes we all need to move around and learn to change our perspective.

In a leadership position, there are obligations that must have a firm stand on responsibility and accountability roles but I suggest that we can also have a perspective with fluidity to frame growth and change.   Often we can’t change what we are looking at but we can change our stance and how we see it!

Stand back and don’t lead with your point of view but lead with an attitude of change and actively engage the points of view of others.   A change of perspective is the path to positive and inclusive change.  A slight change in attitude can dramatically shift a collectively, inclusive path ahead!   You just need to change where you stand!
