Be Yourself

“Leadership simply begins with the courage to be yourself.  So everyone else can be too.”

“Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues, and take effective action to realize your own leadership potential.”

            ~ Warren Bennis

“When you are living the best version of yourself, you inspire others to live the best versions of themselves.”

            ~ Steve Maraboli

“Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others.”

            ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

My hope is that you found time to reflect on your personal qualities that support your leadership skills and approach!  A sincere commitment to leadership comes from your own motivation to be a leader.  Your passion to provide positive leadership can go a long way for a positive work environment.  Honesty is critically important to the positive interaction with team members.   Empathy provides the opportunity to listen.  A leader willing to honestly and actively listen makes themselves available to discuss issues and concerns.  Being open and honest will encourage open and honest team members.  Personal qualities speak to integrity, credibility, ethics, reliability, respectfulness and a commitment to doing the right thing!
