~ Maya Angelo
“Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.”

“I love that summer just wraps its arms around you like a warm blanket.”

“And the summer seems as though it would dream on forever.”
~ Elizabeth von Arnim
Do we remember how to enjoy the days of summer? It’s beginning to look like we might have a true chance to let summer do its magic. We are keenly aware how unbalanced life can bend in a flash. I had come to believe that life balance was an on-going process and a way of living. This last year, in many ways, has broken our ability to be fully engaged, to be fully aware of our own needs and wants, to understand our own boundaries and to embrace our own obligations of well-being.
I believe that the pandemic has pulled the magic of summer from our hearts and soul. I also believe we can find the magic again. So don’t plough through the summer days, take a pause and be kind to yourself, enjoy the gifts of summer, feel the warmth, let the sun kiss your soul, listen to the warm breeze, feel the warm grass on your bare feet. It’s time to put ourselves in the warm-weather state of mind. Be grateful we are free to guide the days of summer ahead!
“Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.”
~ Van Morrison
